Your records

What we store

We keep only what's needed to support your transition:

  • Account — your name and email.
  • Profile — contact details, military branch, rank, MOS/AFSC/rating, years of service, clearance (and whether it's active), target career fields, location and search radius, work arrangement, salary target, certifications, and education.
  • Documents — any resume, evaluation (NCOER/OER), award citation, certification, or note you upload or type in, including the file itself. Stored privately — no public link; only you and the app can reach it.
  • Translations — original military wording, civilian translation, extracted skills, confidence, and field alignment for each accomplishment.
  • Resumes — each AI-generated version (general, targeted, federal, and job-tailored) with ATS scores and matched/missing keywords.
  • Job matches — listings shown to you, fit scores, why-you-match and gap notes, and which jobs you saved or dismissed.
AI processing

What we share, and with whom

To power your features, your information is sent to our AI provider (such as Gemini) only as needed to do the work you asked for:

  • Your profile and accepted accomplishments are used to write your translations, resumes, and job-tailored resumes.
  • Your profile and skills are used — with live web search — to find current job openings that match you.
  • Your document text and the uploaded file itself are read by the AI to extract highlights and build your translations.

We do not sell your data, and it is not used to train models for anyone else. We never forward your records to employers, recruiters, or third parties without a deliberate action from you — such as exporting a resume or opening a listing.

In detail

How we handle your data

What we collect

The profile details you enter, any documents you upload or paste, the AI-generated translations and resumes, your job matches, and a count of your AI actions (used only to enforce daily limits). We collect only what's needed to run your transition features.

Where your documents are stored

Uploaded files are stored in Base44's private file storage — there is no public URL, and access follows your app's permissions. [CONFIRM: storage region / infrastructure provider]

How long we keep your data

We keep your records until you delete them or delete your account. We have not implemented automatic deletion or expiry. [CONFIRM: how long Base44 retains backups after you delete data or your account]

AI providers and training

To perform the action you requested (translate a record, write a resume, find jobs), your profile and document text are sent to our AI provider through Base44. True Bearing does not train any models on your data. Whether the AI provider itself uses submitted content for training is governed by the provider's terms and Base44's agreement with them — [CONFIRM: AI provider training policy].

Who can access your data

You can see and manage your own data. App administrators can access records to operate and support the app. Base44, as the platform that hosts the app, can access data to run the service. The AI provider receives data only for the moment needed to perform your request. [CONFIRM: Base44 staff access and support policy]

How to export or delete your data

From the in-app Settings page you can export your profile as a JSON file, remove your documents, or permanently delete your profile and all associated records. Deleting everything also signs you out.
